Another treat for Tom's readers........

Tom's July Publicity

11/06/2017
A quiet time at Fordingbridge Camera Club. Our season has finished until September, although we are now deciding what our Summer Project should be.
What to read in this quiet period? The Diagram Prize is offered every year for the strangest book title of the year. A recent winner was “Goblin Proofing One’s Chicken Coop” – a guide to banishing fairies from your home. More interesting still, visit our website, www.fordingbridgecameraclub.org.uk It is full of excellent photographs and will give inspiration to beginners and anyone interested in good photography.
We will also be at many of the local country shows throughout the summer; St Mary’s Church Festival 1st and 2nd July,
the Fordingbridge Festival on Saturday 15th July,
Frogham Fair on Saturday July 29th. .
Ellingham Show follows on Saturday August the 12th.
You can see samples of our work there and have the opportunity to tell us what you want from a camera club. You never know, we may already provide it. We meet at Avonway Community Centre at 7.30pm most Wednesdays of the season for a mixture of talks by visiting top photographers coupled with opportunities to show your work and have it commented on by experienced photographic judges. Visitors are always welcome for a small fee. In addition to our regular meetings we are devoting many evenings for those who want, as a group, to set themselves new challenges and then to review the results collectively. These additional sessions have proven to be very popular but are only open to club members.
Further reading of the press reveals a suggestion re our Brexit options - we should align ourselves to Canada. This could be a very good idea! We would benefit from the Inuit ship building skills and have access to the Alberta oil sands.
We could then, to slightly misquote Boris, “Have our kayak and heat it”.
