Tom's January Publicity

Whilst looking at some scientific conversion tables I found one that applies as you age – One million aches = one megahertz. I also now know that it’s easier to get older than wiser.
One thing worth knowing however, is that if you decide to join the Fordingbridge Camera Club after 1st February our subscriptions for this club year are halved. We will be celebrating our 60th birthday with a free exhibition of our works at the Town Hall on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th of May 2018 -put these dates in your diary.
We meet at Avonway Community Centre at 7.30pm most Wednesdays. It continues to remain the same happy, jolly environment and welcomes new members and visitors.
Our website is www.fordingbridgecameraclub.org.uk . This contains our programme of talks by visiting top photographers coupled with opportunities to show your work on top quality equipment and have it commented on by experienced photographic judges. In addition to our regular meetings, we devote many evenings to those who want, as a group, to set themselves new challenges and then to review the results collectively. These additional sessions have proven to be very popular and have added strength to our work. Visitors are always welcome to all our meetings for a small charge.
Our meeting on 31st January is a talk on Natural History photography by Pete Whieldon ARPS. On 28th February Iain McGowan FRPS will be talking about how he makes his prints.
Some bad news has just been announced – Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer has been replaced by the new GPS sleigh-guiding app. I am off now to taste a new wine that is available for Christmas and the New Year. It is called “Holiday Cabernet”. I am told it pairs well with beef, lamb and difficult relatives.
