Fordingbridge is alive with excitement! Is it the latest heated discussions on Brexit? Is it the forthcoming wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? Could it be the Model Railway Exhibition with its working models and Railways at Avonway on Saturday 14th April? It could, importantly, be the news of a free exhibition of photographic work by members of the Fordingbridge Camera Club. You will have the opportunity to examine the work your friends and neighbours have produced. It will be held in the Town Hall on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th of May 2018. The work will be judged by a professional photographic judge and visitors will be invited to cast votes for their favourite image. Youngsters will also be displaying their photographic skills. Smart phones are here to stay; the exhibition will compare some photographs taken of the same view by phone and camera so that you can compare their qualities.

We are a friendly, go-ahead club and meet at Avonway Community Centre at 7.30pm on Wednesdays. Our website, www.fordingbridgecameraclub.org.uk has our programme for the season. It is a mixture of talks by visiting top photographers coupled with opportunities to show your work on the highest quality equipment and have it commented on by experienced photographic judges. The club programme shows the planned meeting days which are almost every Wednesday throughout our season. "Sport and Music photography" is our talk by Michael Cosgrave FRPS on 14th of March. Visitors are welcome to attend any of the events listed in the programme for a small fee. Creative and Practical evenings are organised by members for members and therefore running and content may be changed at short notice. As a group they set themselves new challenges and then review the results collectively.
