“Don’t expect your wife to wait on you hand and foot. She is good for other things than to fetch and carry for you. If you don’t expect it, it will give her great pleasure to wait on you to a reasonable extent.” Very good advise from my 1913 copy of guidance for the modern man. I shall use it for my next New Year’s Resolution!
I think I made too many New Year Resolutions this year. It took me almost a full day to break them all.
An easier Resolution to follow is, “Dip into the Fordingbridge Camera Club website” at www.fordingbridgecameraclub.org.uk This contains our programme of talks by visiting top photographers coupled with opportunities to show your work on top quality equipment and have it commented on by experienced photographic judges.
In addition to our regular meetings, we devote many evenings to those who want, as a group, to set themselves new challenges and then to review the results collectively.
These additional sessions have proven to be very popular and have added strength to our work. Visitors are always welcome to all our meetings for a small charge.
If you decide to join the Fordingbridge Camera Club after 1st February our subscriptions for this club year are halved.
We will be celebrating our 60th birthday with a free exhibition of our works at the Town Hall on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th of May 2018 -put these dates in your diary. We meet at Avonway Community Centre at 7.30pm most Wednesdays.
“Don’t insist upon the last word. If you know when to drop an argument, you are a wise man.” Although this is good advice from my book, I always insist upon having the last words - usually “Yes
