Have you ever thought how good birthdays are for you? Yes, statistics show that the more you have of them the longer you live. Something else that is good for you is a hobby or interest that can be very rewarding. Photography is the thing and the Fordingbridge Camera Club is the place to help you. We are a friendly, go-ahead club meeting at Avonway Community Centre at 7.30pm on alternate Wednesdays and our season re-starts on 11th of September. Visitors are welcome, a small charge, refundable if you join! You will have the chance to meet us, enjoy some refreshments and see what we do.
Our website, www.fordingbridgecameraclub.org.uk has our programme for the new season. It contains a mixture of talks by visiting top photographers, ranging from: Peter Paterson, a famous Landscape and Still Life photographer on 25th September, David Clapp, who has a most inspiring range of work, on December 4th. Black and White photography in the digital Age is not forgotten and a talk on that subject will be given by Tony Worobiec on 3rd of March 2014. Other evenings are devoted to opportunities to show your work and have it commented on by experienced photographic judges.
In addition to our regular meetings, we are devoting many evenings to Practical Photography, a group to help members who are new-comers to photography. These sessions have proven to be very popular but are only open to club members. Visitors (£3) are welcome to all other events.
If you also have had an expensive summer you may wish to indulge yourself with a little plastic surgery. Yes, plastic surgery! My plan is now to cut up all my credit cards.
