About

Fordingbridge Camera Club (FCC) was formed over 60 years ago and has a proud history of producing high quality images.

The club is run by a Committee of dedicated volunteers, and the rules for the club competitions and the club constitution are in the Fordingbridge Camera Club Booklet.

We are affiliated to the Southern Counties Photographic Federation (SCPF) and to the Stour and Avon Photographic Association (SAPA).  In addition to our internal Competitions, FCC is involved in SCPF and SAPA inter-club competitions and is currently in SCPF League 2 for Projected Digital Images.  The Club has a Selection Committee to choose pictures to represent FCC in these competitions, entering images from as wide a range of club members as possible.

Occasionally members' work is displayed at exhibitions open to the general public and, from time to time, photographic outings are run, particularly over the summer months.

The club environment is good for the exchange of ideas and tips on subjects of common interest.  To encourage this, FCC operates a Mentoring Scheme in which some members with particular skills and knowledge (for example, genre of photography or a make of camera) provide support to other members on a one-to-one basis.

Avonway Community Centre provides an ideal venue for club meetings.  There is a disabled parking space at the rear of the building; access into the building is wheelchair friendly; and a disabled toilet is available.

The annual subscription to join FCC is £55.00, and £27.50 for junior member (under 18).  In addition, there is a £2.00 charge per meeting (to include tea/coffee!). Visitors are welcome free of charge for two meetings. From then on there is a charge of £5.00 per meeting, which is refundable if joining that evening. Higher charges may apply for special events.
