Meet the Selection Committee




Fiona Senior FRPS
Working as Fiona Alison, I was a professional London W1 based studio photographer shooting children and young people commercially for Advertising, Fashion, Editorial and Portraiture for an impressive list of household name clients.
As a photographer, lecturer and judge sponsored by Fuji, Kodak and 3M amongst others, I travelled extensively in the UK and all over the world, in the course of which, appearing on, and interviewed by numerous radio and TV programmes.
I served for many years on Fellowship Distinctions and Selection panels for the Fuji School of Photography, the MPA, the BIPP and the RPS.

Francis Bryan
Francis has enjoyed photography for most of his life, with it starting to become a more serious hobby after joining Yateley Camera Club in 2015. As an enthusiastic amateur Francis particularly enjoys the outdoors taking landscape and seascape images around the Dorset area whilst at times adding a creative lens through the use of ICM and multiple exposure techniques.

Dr Barry Senior Hon FRPS APAGB
Barry has some 60 years of photographic experience beginning with film processing and printing, moving in 1996 to digital scanning and from 2004 to digital capture, processing the digital files in Photoshop and Lightroom.
Personal early work as an enthusiast was mainly monochrome landscape and later an interest developed in studio still life photography. ‘Professional work’ included weddings for a local studio, photojournalism for a college newspaper and managing a macro photography operation in a scientific and regulatory environment.
Over 40 years judging experience at club level; and selecting National and International Exhibitions including for the Chinese Photographers’ Association. Other experience has been as an RPS Fellowship Board Member and Chair of the RPS Distinctions Board.

Michael Berkeley, ARPS ASISLP ASISEP
Michael has been taking photographs for most of his life. He has been doing this more seriously since Autumn 2016 and now specialises in photographing sport and music, but he also enjoys travel and street photography. He is one of the house photographers at The Joiners music venue in Southampton, and photographs regularly for Hampshire Cricket Club, Salisbury Football Club and Druids Lodge Polo Club. He has photographed some 25 different sports and is always looking for new sporting opportunities.

Sue Veal LRPS CPAGB
External Competition Secretary
Sue is a former Chairman of FCC and has been on the selection committee a number of years and External Competition Secretary for the past 2 years. Having taken up photography approximately 11 years ago Sue is now a keen wildlife/nature photographer both at home and abroad. As well as wildlife Sue is also interested in Sport, Air Shows, Studio work and Macro photography.

Mike Grigsby LRPS
Mike joined the club in 2001 and within a year was elected as Hon Sec. Within a further couple of years he was elected as Chairman and in the years that followed became Competition Sec, SAPA Rep, Programme Sec and s member of the Selection Committee. He started “serious” photography in 1999 using Canon EOS cameras and lenses, then moving on to Canon Digital cameras in 2007. In the last couple of years he has used Olympus cameras and lenses mainly due to the need to reduce the weight of the camera bag. He is fairly proficient in man
