Tom's April Publicity

02/03/2015
What I do want to know is, how can Greece be doing so badly? Everyone I know is eating Greek yogurt! However, somewhere that is doing better than Greece is the Fordingbridge Camera Club.
We are a friendly, go-ahead club who meet at Avonway Community Centre at 7.30pm on alternate Wednesdays.
Our website, www.fordingbridgecameraclub.org.uk has our programme for the season.
It is a mixture of talks by visiting top photographers coupled with opportunities to show your work and have it commented on by experienced photographic judges.
Many club members are top-notch photographers but I know my place; I am hoping to be nominated for a lifetime underachievement award!
In addition to our regular meetings we are devoting many evenings for those who want, as a group, to set themselves new challenges and then to review the results collectively. These additional sessions have proven to be very popular but are only open to club members. If your enthusiasm for photography has waned during the dark, wet days of winter a camera club is the ideal pick-me-up.
Easter Sunday 5 April is a reminder that Spring has sprung and all is well with the world. Spring is one of the most attractive seasons for the photographer, giving incentive to get out and capture new fresh colours and the crisp light after winter,
The sights and sounds of Spring now appear to be tinged with a little election-fever.
We must remember, however, that sometimes good can come from elections - now and then an innocent person is sent to Parliament.
Talking of innocent people like me - my wife’s female intuition is so highly developed that she sometimes knows I am wrong before I have even opened my mouth!
