Tom's February Publicity

I don’t find it hard to meet expenses – they are everywhere. But is you need to borrow, always borrow from a pessimist – they don’t expect it back.

If you decide to join the Fordingbridge Camera Club after 1st February our subscriptions for this club year are halved. Our website is www.fordingbridgecameraclub.org.uk This contains our programme of talks by visiting top photographers coupled with opportunities to show your work on top quality equipment and have it commented on by experienced photographic judges. In addition to our regular meetings, we devote many evenings to those who want, as a group, to set themselves new challenges and then to review the results collectively. These additional sessions have proven to be very popular and have added strength to our work. 19 February is devoted to a Club competition of Mobile Phone photography. This is an area of growing interest and will give you ideas of the work of our members in this field. We meet at Avonway Community Centre at 7.30pm most Wednesdays. Visitors are always welcome to all our meetings for a small charge. Our planned programme for 26th February includes Glyn Paton LRPS who will be presenting ‘From Notting Hill to Nepal’. 18th March is devoted to an illustrated talk entitled ‘Wildlife Photography’ by professional David Boag. David’s website, naturalfocus.co.uk shows his wide range of photography. 8th of April will be devoted to Studio Portraiture by two club members, Kevin and Julie.

I have enjoyed Christmas and New Year feastings of turkey and ham. I didn’t fight my way to the top of the food chain to become a vegetarian!
Always remember, that if at first you don’t succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.
